Vardz.am is an Armenian platform where people and companies rent out and rent things, from construction tools and cameras to event equipment, skis and evening dresses. Find what you need nearby, see the free days, and know who you are dealing with before you meet.
վարձ — Vardz.am
Vardz is the Armenian word «վարձ» (vardz), written in Latin letters so everyone reads it the same way. It means what you pay to use someone else’s thing. The name says what we do.
Why we built it
Buy what you use every day and rent the rest. It’s a simple idea, but in Armenia it was hard to put into practice, for three reasons.
A tool for one renovation, a tent for one hike, a suit for one wedding. The money is spent, and the thing sits in a closet for years.
Rental items were scattered across different sites and groups, lost among sale ads, and to learn which days were free you had to call.
What if they break it? What if they don’t return it? What if it doesn’t match the photo? Because of these questions, both owners and renters often backed out.
An illustration
An item you bought spends most of the year just sitting in the closet.
We built Vardz so that renting out and renting would feel as ordinary as buying. And so that a stranger isn’t a stranger even before you meet.
Our first principle
91%
91% of respondents in Armenia say you need to be very careful with people.

We don’t try to change that with fine words. Instead, on Vardz you can learn what matters about a stranger before the item changes hands.
The request shows the renter’s trust level, verified details and achievements. You accept or decline the request.
You set the deposit and the terms, and the renter sees them before sending a request. Check the item together at handover and at return.
You see the renter’s name and phone from the moment of the request, and if they have verified their identity, the name matches their document.
The owner’s card shows their name, how long they have been on Vardz, their trust level and reviews. Verified companies have a ✔ badge.
Every listing is checked before it is published. Only people who actually rented can leave a review, and a “Not as described” mark is visible to everyone.
Free days show in the calendar. Once a request is accepted, those days are held for you.
Tip: send the money after you have seen the item, and check it at handover and at return.
To make renting out and renting as simple and trustworthy as buying.
Anyone can quickly find what they need nearby, see the free days and know who they are dealing with.
An Armenia where things in the closet earn money.
You buy what you use every day and rent the rest. And what you don’t need works for others and earns money for you.
Who it’s for
Today you’re a renter, tomorrow an owner. Companies get their own page on Vardz too.
For rentersA renovation, a hike, a wedding, a shoot, a New Year party: take what you need from nearby, for as many days as you need.
For ownersYou decide the price, the free days, the deposit and who to rent to. The rent goes straight to you, with no commission.
For companiesYour own page on Vardz: all your listings in one place, your team and, after review, a verified company badge.
What we stand by
These aren’t slogans but the rules of the site, and you can check each one yourself.
Everyone on Vardz has a trust level. It grows as email, phone and identity are verified, and we calculate it, not the person themselves.
The price, deposit and terms are visible before you send a request. We take no commission on rent.
Listings and reviews are checked, our team looks into complaints, and we block those who break the rules on purpose or repeatedly.
The map shows an approximate area, not the exact address. Public pages show only the first letter of your surname, and Vardz keeps no copies of your documents.
From request to review, you always know what stage things are at and whose move is next.
The site, emails and rules are in Armenian, Russian and English. You choose the language.
Transparent
We take no percentage of the rent, from either the renter or the owner. Posting a listing is free, up to a set number in each category. We earn only from optional paid services, and their price is always shown before you pay.
All across Armenia
You can post a listing from any settlement in Armenia. Search by region, settlement or on the map. Picking up nearby is faster.
